Push Notifications

About Push Notifications

The ASCA Conferences app uses push notifications to share timely conference updates and alerts. If you build a personal agenda, the app can also send reminders before your registered sessions begin.

You can choose whether to allow app notifications on your device. You can also keep general app notifications on while turning session reminders on or off from your profile.

Allow Notifications

The first time the app asks to send notifications, your device will show a permission prompt.

Tap Allow if you want to receive conference alerts and session reminders.

If you tap Don't Allow, you can still use the app. You will need to turn notifications on later in your device settings if you want to receive alerts.

Change Notification Settings

To turn all ASCA Conferences notifications on or off after the first prompt:

iOS

Open Settings, tap Apps, select ASCA Conferences, tap Notifications, and turn Allow Notifications on or off.

Session Reminder Notifications

Session reminders are notifications sent just before a session in your agenda is scheduled to begin.

To change session reminders in the app:

  1. Tap More in the bottom navigation.

  2. Open your profile.

  3. Turn Session Reminders on or off.

Turning off Session Reminders only stops agenda reminder notifications. Other allowed conference notifications may still be sent unless you turn off notifications in your device settings.
